Premieredge helps Bristol Dental Specialists deliver innovative care

Bristol Dental Specialists (BDS) are specialist dental practice based in central Bristol.

Newly opened this year, they approached Premieredge prior to opening to help them set up their IT infrastructure from scratch.  As part of this Premieredge worked with BDS to introduce Office 365 (including Microsoft Teams) as well as other specialist software which would allow BDS to run online meetings.

With the onset of lockdown this meant that BDS were able to quickly react to the COVID-19 health crisis and employ Microsoft Teams for virtual consultations in addition to their team meetings. The benefits for both Bristol Dental Specialists and their patients have been enormous and include:

  • Better information for patients prior to visiting the clinic
  • Minimising travel and increasing safety for patients
  • Keeping costs down for both BDS and their patients
  • Faster development of treatment plans, particularly where more than one practitioner is involved
  • Greater uptake of treatment amongst patients visiting the surgery after an initial Teams meeting.
